Ana Rita da Costa is an Analyst with Catenion and lives in Berlin.
After obtaining her PhD in the field of Molecular Biology from the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin, Ana joined Catenion where she works on R&D strategy development in the biopharma space.
Prior to joining Catenion, Ana focused in volunteer leadership and organised several career-oriented seminars, as well as, a science communication forum for approximately 200-300 participants from the biggest research organisations in Germany. Moreover, Ana helped to establish a scholarship for Portuguese graduates to study in Germany in cooperation with the Portuguese Graduates Association in Germany, Embassy and several sponsors.
In her spare time Ana likes to travel, appreciate the perks of living in Berlin, and continue her connection in activities to promote education, science and communication.
Her Bachelor and Master studies in Portugal focused in Molecular Genetics, Biotechnology and Biomedicine. After internships in Warsaw (Poland) and London (United Kingdom), Ana earned a Ph.D. in infection biology at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin (Germany) for her studies on the influence of infection in cancer predisposition and initiation.
