Bea Kaufmann is an Associate with Catenion and lives in Berlin.
Bea received her Ph.D. from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Biotechnology where she focused on the development of next-generation sequencing platforms to decipher non-coding RNA interactions with the genome. Furthermore, Bea developed synthetic-biology inspired cancer therapies using viral vectors and CRISPR/Cas9 technologies with which she and her team won several international genetically engineered machine (iGEM) awards.
In her spare time, Bea loves to ski and, as a certified ski instructor, likes to teach others how to ski. Having lived in Switzerland, Spain and Israel for longer periods of time, she also enjoys travelling and good food.
Having studied biochemistry and biotechnology in Freiburg and Almeria, Bea earned her Ph.D. from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
