Johannes Zimmermann is an Associate with Catenion and lives in Berlin.
He studied Biochemistry in Hannover, Los Angeles and Göttingen, where he did his diploma thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine studying the formation of myelin sheaths. During his Ph.D. at the Charité Berlin he investigated the co-release of two different neurotransmitters from a single synapse.
In his spare time Johannes plays the Cello in a symphony orchestra, where he is also part of the managing board organizing concerts, rehearsals and orchestra trips.
To stay active Johannes plays field hockey.
Having studied biochemistry in Hannover, at UC Los Angeles and in Göttingen Johannes earned a Ph.D. in neurobiology at the Charité/Free University Berlin.
