Louise von Stechow is an Associate with Catenion and lives in Berlin.
Louise has been trained as a Medical Biologist. Prior to joining Catenion, Louise did a postdoc at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research in Copenhagen. Louise’s scientific achievements are manifested in her publication record, received awards and the ability to attract external funding for her research, including the prestigious Sapere Aude Research Talent Award from the Danish Council for Independent Research. During her scientific career Louise has come in contact with multiple research fields, including for example stem cell biology, RNAi, cancer biology and DNA damage responses. Her strong focus on systems biology has allowed her to connect those varying interests.
In her free time, Louise follows her passion for literature and music by reading, writing, and playing the piano.
Louise von Stechow holds a Diploma in Biology from the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and a PhD in Medical Biology from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Her PhD work was focused on studying DNA damage responses in cancer cells and embryonic stem cells by systems biology approaches. During her studies, Louise received an award for the best prediploma of her term. Louise completed her school education at the Pestalozzi Schule Idstein.
