Mariana Cerdeira is an Associate at Catenion and lives in Berlin.
Mariana joined Catenion after completing her PhD, where she investigated molecular mechanisms of neuroprotection and regulation of intracellular protein trafficking in neurons. She is enthusiastic about science communication and has participated as a speaker in several events, and has given a TEDx talk in Berlin. She has lived in 4 different countries and speaks 5 languages.
In her free time, Mariana is a keen dancer and traveler.
Mariana completed her PhD in Medical Neurosciences at the Charité in Berlin, after obtaining a Master’s degree in Neurosciences with a double diploma from the University of Göttingen, in Germany, and University of Bordeaux, in France. Previous to that, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences in her country of origin, Brazil.
